IDM (headquartered in Milano, Lombardy) is a leading company in the supply of records management and storage, printed data warehouse management, scanning and imaging, data entry, OCR and validation, web document management and workflow management, and digital certified conservation. In January 2009, IDM finalized the acquisition of the entire share capital of Anacomp Italia, a subsidiary of the US group Anacomp Inc., a company active in document capture, electronic billing and workflow management. Post acquisition, IDM became one of the three leading Italian groups in the outsourcing of advanced file and document solutions managing, for over 250 clients, 4.5 billion online images and 500 million documents.

IDM was sold to Canon Italia S.p.A., subsidiary of the listed Japanese multinational group, in February 2015.
